CHAPTER THIRTY FIVE

I nod. These falsehoods just keep on coming. "Yeah, obviously, six hours is a lengthy drive. I feel like I've missed out on weeks of your life, so fill me in.

When I ask her how she is doing, she chuckles. The most interesting thing I can say is that I won Lazor Quest.

I chuckle to myself as I can't believe I didn't participate in the Lazor quest. When we were tipsy, we did this rather frequently. After a few beers, it was hilarious to use the site since Ben knew someone who worked there and would allow us to use it if we tipped him. The last time I visited, around a year ago, I believed I had broken my wrist while reenacting Mission: Impossible after 5 gins, but it turned out to only be sprained.

It was great chatting with my closest buddy again; we picked up exactly where we left off, planning to have lunch with Lucas the following day. I, really, really hope she doesn't find out I'm still talking to Rory.
