CHAPTER 40

Nora felt her hands tremble as she struggled to get out of his hold. She could see that his eyes were bright yellow meaning that his wolf was bound to make an appearance on the surface.

She gulped as she attempted to push him away. “Let go of me.” She scoffed. He only let out a chuckle and from the way that his voice seemed to be slightly deeper she couldn't help but feel dread as she realized that it wasn't him that she was talking to but rather his wolf.

“Hello little mate. I am glad to finally get to meet you.” He said to her but she couldn't focus, all she could feel was the burning against her neck. She reached out her hand to touch it and she couldn't help but gasp when she realized how deep it was.

“Why did you do that to me?” She asked him in a trembling tone. He only chuckled as he reached out and stroked her cheek lightly. He let out a sigh. “I am sorry for that. I didn't mean to. But you were dying and it seemed as though it would be the only way to save you. The injury was
