12. HARD NOT TO REACT

I made my way down stairs, my hair floating behind me. I wore a pair of black jeans with a turtle neck rusty long-sleeved top and a pair of black sneakers. My face had some work done, putting some color into it with a nude color gloss that just tied the whole look perfectly. My bracelet was slipped on along with a necklace.

“Good morning.” I greeted everyone I came across as they snickered with some just turning and making their way to wherever they were going. My book was in hand, a book on the deep politics of the werewolf community. I had never felt so educated in my whole life. I felt as if I was a library, just packed with information but sadly I could not share all the information with anyone.

My hands pushed the doors wide open to the dining room. I was set on starting up a conversation, complementing some people, hoping my smile would dazzle some of them and they would see that I was not that bad.

This is painful, not because the novel is about this girl who is suffering, because 50 % of the stories are the same, but nothing happens. Why write so much about nothing?
