AUTHOR’S POV Two days after Joshua and the rest had the conversation, Joshua offered to take Aileen out as she had been in the mansion for a couple of days, without having seen anyone apart from them. "Are you all set?" Joshua asked as he got off the couch, moved closer to her, and offered his hand to her to hold. Aileen placed her hands in Joshua's while she eyed him, but he only smiled and proceeded to twirl one of his fingers around her palm before completely encasing her’s with his large hands. AUTHOR'S POV "Are you telling me that I can have this car? You've got to be kidding, right?" Joshua shrugged and put one of his arms on the steering wheel. As he did this, Aileen saw the veins that ran through his arms. Aileen continued to stare at Joshua. Aileen had noticed this when she first saw Joshua's upper body while he was training her, but she would never stop being surprised by his body type and structure. Joshua had a physical shape called an hour glass, which was unusual to see in men at the time. His defined muscular frame and chiseled chest matched his broad shoulders and sculpted arms, which were all hallmarks of his physique. His waist was tight and slender, and it gently transitioned into a toned abdomen, which combined to form a visually pleasing and stunning man. AILEEN’S POV "Whoa… This spot is stunning; I don’t know how I could have missed it all these years that I stayed here." I breathed in the scent of the clean river and the forest that was some miles away from us. It was a good thing that we chose to come to this place, the smell of alcohol, of sex and everything that was in between burned my nose. I held onto the railings as I raised my head and closed my eyes, I listened to the wind and thought about everything that had happened. Author’s POV As soon as Aileen entered through the portal, her senses were assaulted by the powerful scent of werewolves and the spark of energy. In her line of sight was a vast area of land that was brimming with enticing greenery, the musty aroma of ancient forests, and the scent of the moist ground. The moon hung low in the sky, and its light shone brightly upon all of the werewolves as well as the towering trees. "Does time pass in a different way here?" Aileen had a question. In the other world, it was morning, but here in this place, it's already dark. However, based on the fact that Joshua gave a dismissive nod, it did not appear that this was the case. "The light of the moon always casts a shadow over this world. The elders say that the end of the world will come the day when the sun rises at this location. AUTHOR’S POV After receiving instructions from Joshua, who had gone out to take care of something else, one of the mansion's maids showed Aileen the way to her room. Both of them proceeded along the hallways in a deafening hush; neither Aileen nor the servants spoke a word, and Aileen did not care; she was immersed in her own thoughts, and she could also sense the menacing eyes that were directed towards her. In addition to this, she questioned something that left her perplexed and wondering, "Why are you leading me in circles? You were instructed to show me the way to my room, weren't you? Even though we have passed by this location three times at this point, we have not yet arrived at where you are taking me to?" Aileen came to a halt in the middle of the hallway, crossing her arms over her chest as she peered at the maid who had been motionless.
