Faith could not stop crying. What had just happened? She did not even know what to think anymore? Had she just been fired or did he really need some time as he had said? She sat on her bed in her quarter without knowing what to do. She knew there was something going on with Desmond, but what was that? Why did he push her away? Why did he change all of a sudden?
And his eyes? All she could see there was pain and despair

Amirah asked with a broad smile."Yes," Faith answered and then glanced at her boss. "You shouldn't have called them, Desmond. It's no big deal," Faith said, expecting a reply from him. He had barely spoken to her during the time he had been there before her mother arrived. All her effort to start a conversation with him kept proving fruitless.
