Her face fell. He just made everything clear and she must admit that hearing it from his mouth hurt like hell. She knew she had no space in his heart, why did he feel the need to remind her of that? She felt like covering herself up with the bed sheet and crying to her heart's content, but she could not. No matter how much he was going to decline talking to her, she would not give up. She owed him that little explanation. Even if he eventually fired her, she did not want to be reminded as a bad person.
