Daniel's pov

I had never been suspended before and for some reason it felt so foreign to me. Like a red blood stain on a brightly white be spread.

I didn't like the feeling but at the same time, I didn't regret putting that Jackass in his place. My only regret was the fact that I Maya had gotten injured in the process.

I had not gone home yet. I was too afraid to face my parents, well, not afraid. I just didn't think I could stomach their disappointed faces.

I sat on the park bench watching the few parents and kids or pets playing around feeling dejected and stupid for letting my anger get the best of me once again.

All I wanted to know was how Maya was doing.

School hsd closed hours ago and I had tried reaching her but she'd been unresponsive.

Lydia told me she was alright when I reached her that she'd gone home early but I still couldn't help but worry.
