Chapter 8. Feels like heaven

"If you are willing to be close to her, you should start by supporting whatever she does. If she goes anywhere, it would be aloof of you not to be there."

I was impressed by Matt. The way he emitted those words with bravery in front of the Alpha, I could sense how resolute he was to protect me. Matt guided me consistently since day one. For him, he'd rather stay by my side in the middle of peril than question my stubbornness by leaving me unattended.

"Thanks for letting me know." Alpha Ace deviated his gaze at me, acknowledging my best friend's utterances.

SITTING in front of the Alpha was one of the most unnerving occurrences that happened to me, not because I was afraid of him but because of the possible upshot that might transpire during the conversation.

I was currently depleting my time listening to his explications as I tried not to be rude.

"Please, let me know next time, okay? I want you safe, Gwen."

"You don't have to reiterate that to me, Alpha. Matt wants me safe too
