Tyron scrunched his brows. “Gone? As in, she went on an errand?” “No, Gone.” Gwen’s mother replied, squeezing her eyes in pain. She looked away and sighed. “I do not know where she is.” Tyron frowned deeply. “How long has she been gone? And why did she leave?” “For over a month now. She left because I told her too. I asked her not to tell me where she was, because I didn’t want her father to know should he come for me and force me. Gwen had walked through miles of shrubs for heaven knew how long. She was beginning to think that she wouldn’t see any human before the day ended. Thinking of the day, she looked up at the sky and sighed. The weather was far different from that of Dras. She could see three Suns and two Moons, and the sky was bluish-green. She didn’t know how the concept of time was being calculated there, and she was beginning to regret not doing further research before coming there. Several times she had looked behind her, trying to see if she could still go back and ask the guards for directions but the distance was enough to discourage her. Tired, she crouched down on the side of the road, her luggage right behind her. Her legs hurt from the excess walk she had done and she wanted to catch her breath. Then she added hesitatingly. “Can you please take me to a cheap place?” The man looked at her, confused. “Cheap place?” “Yes. I do not have much money for an extravagant place. I would very much prefer a simple place to stay.” “Oh do not worry then. We have a place like that too.” Gwen stood up from her seat, then bowed slightly towards him. “Thank you so much.” He gave an awkward grin. “You are welcome.” He stated curtly. The guard holding unto her luggage nodded towards the door, and she smiled softly and walked out, with him following right behind her. The streets of the poisonous sect were filled with dry yet unique colours. She saw strange looking plants at every corner, and though she was curious to go and touch them, she was smart enough to know that they may be dangerous.Shops were erected at almost every corner, and she was surprised—which said a lot since she arrived in this realm—to find the buildings looking normal.
