The Same Place

Diane's POV

I felt dizzy the moment Jolynn and her guard left me. Everything just turned blurry and I couldn't remember exactly what had happened. But somewhere along the line, I fell into subconsciousness. I couldn't tell how exactly it had happened but I knew that my body was weak.

I had been feeling the weakness for a while. I was hungry and dehydrated but adrenaline had helped me stay conscious but it failed me.

I was in a world where everything was dark. I couldn't make out anything, only faint sounds and an inconsistent splash of color once in a while that would carry a face I knew.

One of those times, I could have sworn I saw Lucius. I heard him calling unto me and my eyes tried to remain steady on him but I couldn't. It felt like there was a deadweight placed above my eyes that made it impossible for me to keep them open.

I made to open my lips and call unto him but I was far too weak to say anything.

It was like the subconscious world was calling unto me; pulling me into it
