Rachel’s POV

I smiled at him and continued eating.

We were all silent for a while and just ate our food.

“You guys aren’t talking anymore; do I make you guys feel uncomfortable?” David asked.

“No, not at all.” Mary laughed.

“Do I, Rachel?” He looked at me.

“Oh,” Mary muttered.

No, you don’t; please eat your food.” I answered and smiled slightly.

Shortly after, David got a call and left the table.

“Rachel, I will see you around.” Scott uttered something and smiled softly before leaving.

“Are you sure Scott is okay?” Mary asked as we both watched as he walked away.

“I don’t know, Mary, and I don’t know why David has been acting so strange lately.” I said so and nodded in agreement.

“Have you asked him why the sudden change?” She asked.

“I haven't, though.”

I guess I’ll have to ask him that.

A few moments later, school was over.

“Let’s go,” David said as I walked up to him.

“Okay.” I said that and got into his car.
