David’s POV

"I’ll have to think about it, Laura; I can’t just decide on that now." I was more than surprised by what she said.

"You want to think about it? Okay fine." I know she got pissed, but it wasn’t compared to how shocked I was.

"I’m leaving now; I’ll text you later." She didn’t respond, so I left. Why would she even think of something like that in a hurry? I wasn’t expecting that from her so quickly.

I left Laura’s house and arrived at mine. I met Scott and Jacob while heading in, so I went to join them in the sitting room.

"Hey David." Jacob called my name, and I walked to them.

"Where have you been?" Jacob asked, and Scott just kept looking at me.

"I went to Laura." I sat on one of the couches in the living room.

Oh, alright," Jacob said.

"David, are you alright?" Jacob asked. And furrowed his eyebrows.

"Yeah, I’m good." I replied.

"Okay." Jacob and Scott continued with what they were talking about while I sat with my own thoughts.
