chapter 22

David’s POV

“Rachel.” I called out her name, but she didn’t respond.

I stared at her as she walked out on me. She was putting on a tight gown, exposing her curves. She looked so attractive, but I shouldn’t think of that now.

It’s the fact that she pisses me off; I just want her not to think I have fallen for her because of a harmless kiss.

When she was finally out of my sight, I groaned and headed back to my class.

I know I made the first step by getting close to her, but she should have resisted and pushed me away rather than leaning in for more.

I wasn’t expecting that from her. What happened that night flashed back: I couldn’t even have a good sleep; my mind was placed there till I finally fell asleep.

I really shouldn’t have gone that far to kiss her, and she really should have stopped me too.

I went into the classroom and sat down. Classes hadn't started yet. I was still lost in my thoughts.

“Did you see Laura while coming in?” Jacob asked, looking at me.
