CHAPTER FOURTEEN

Nora’s POV

He chuckled.

I couldn’t believe it. Of all the conclusions, he found that one. Well, to be honest, he was right, but it would never come out of my mouth.

“What’s funny, your highness?” The sarcasm rolled off my tongue like a carpet. He stopped laughing. All traces of laughter had died. I bit back on a smirk.

"Nothing, Nora," he said as he ran his hands through his hair. It was a habit I noticed he had when he was short of words or stressed. I couldn’t help but notice how his hands were large. They could definitely fit into mine.

“I just think you should have told me," said Michael after he cleared his breath.

“I never knew I had to report my everyday activities to you.” I glared at him and walked away.

“Who the hell did he think he was anyway? I can go out as I please. Wasn’t he the one who went out and came back with Luna? I had been quite all this time,” I reasoned aloud as I went to the kitchen to get a midnight snack after changing into my pajamas. Thank God I didn’t ha
