Nikko

I don’t know how long I had been tied up to a chair in the middle of a run down cabin when Nikko walked back in. As the door shut behind him I wondered if it would do any good for me to try and plead my case with him. Make him understand that I was a nobody. Only I was somebody to him, all because of the child that slept in my stomach.

Nikko walked in taking off his jacket and throwing it on the table before he walked over to the fireplace stirring the coals. His brown hair seemed to glow in the fire’s light. Standing back up straight he turned toward me flicking his pocket knife open.

I jumped my eyes growing huge, “no please, please don’t hurt me.”

Sinking to his knees Nikko grabbed my hands slicing the rope that bind them before moving to my feet. “I’m going to untie you but if you try to run,” he paused looking up at me, “well just say I wouldn’t run if I were you.”
