“What the hell are you doing in here?!” Jason growled.

My body went rigid and I closed my eyes, trying to gather my emotions.

I could literally feel him breathing down my neck as I subtly wiped off the tears that had slipped out the moment I entered the room.

I slowly turned around to face him and plastered a smile on my face.

“I was searching for the bathroom,” I said as calmly as I could.

“You could have asked questions. Nobody is allowed in here,” he said and dragged my elbow out of the room. “Don't go in there again,” he seethed and turned to leave.

“Wait,” I called, making him stop. “I think there's something you need to know,” I started.

He turned around with furrowed eyebrows.

I had practiced this moment a million times in my head and even more times in front of the mirror but right now, when the moment was finally here, I couldn't bring myself to say anything.
