Alaric's POV.

I headed inside Alana's room without knocking but lightly opened the door.

She was not inside the bedroom, so I already figured that she would be on the balcony. I headed there, and when I met her, a smile landed on my face.

She seemed very excited with the way she was humming to a song inside her head and opening the pages of the books with her face peaceful.

I walked up close and watched further. Then my wolf emerged at the back of my head to grin as well.

"She looks perfect." He said, which made me roll my eyes.

That's not why we are here.

I had neared her completely before she shifted her eyes to me and jumped up in shock with her hands flapped around.

"AH!" Before she could scream aloud, I used my hands to cover her mouth and flared my eyes at her.

"It's me, Alana." I told her, but she still seemed fretful.

"Hmmhmmhmm," she was murmuring.

"hm, what?" I said before my senses told me that there was no way she could have spoken well.
