MATILDA'S POV

The ray of light shone across my face, I opened my eyes slowly to see Eva staring at me with a smile on her face.

"Are you okay?" I asked, sitting up and rubbing my eyes with my hand, and she just nodded in reply, then stood up and walked toward the window.

"So today is indoors." She said as she looked through the window.

"It's just for today," I said as I joined her at the window. "I promise you would not get bored, okay, I would use all the time we would spend indoors to make a portrait of you."

She turned to look at me with a ghost smile, which disappeared after a few seconds. I could tell it was forced, and her eyes were still swollen from all of yesterday's crying.

"You are so sweet, Matilda, and I'm happy I met someone like you," she said, and I smiled at her.

I took her hand in mine and we both went back to sit on the bed.

The room became silent again, so I thought of what I could tell Eva, then an idea came to my mind.
