Chapter 140

MOSES'S POV

I was in a meeting with some of the pack elders in the throne room when I suddenly started to feel a sharp pain in my chest like several pins were being driven into my heart at once.

Bax whispered to me that our mate was in pain.

"And what if she has gone to be with another man?" I asked because she had been angry with me recently and had refused to let me come close to her.

"Why do you always like sounding stupid? How did I end up with someone like you?" Bax shouted at me. "And I said she is in pain, and you are saying she is with another man. And even if she is with another man, it's your fault, and it serves you right." He shouted.

I immediately stood up from the throne and walked away from the meeting room, my hand on my chest, even though it was an important meeting, leaving the elders confused.

Louis stood up and walked outside after me, sensing that something could be wrong.
