MATILDA'S POV

I swallowed hard as I watched Grandmother and Sara talking so happily like they had known each other for a long time, and it seemed like Grandmother was fond of Sara. I wondered about the kind of relationship they had and if grandmother approved of her relationship with alpha Moses.

"It feels good that I got to see you again, how was your visit to the human city?" Grandmother asked, brushing her hair with her fingers.

"Oh! It was fine and adventurous, to get to meet a lot of humans." She had a sweet smile on her face as she spoke to her grandmother.

I was surprised to see how she sounded so innocent and sweet in front of grandmother when she was the exact opposite, I squeezed my face wishing that grandmother would see past her pretense and know that she was not who she was pretending to be.
