Calla's POV

There came his chilly chuckle.

"You don't want to know."

My curiosity increased by another ten folds that I even started tugging at his shirt.

Lucian gave him his coldest smile. "This person is an old friend and someone close to you."

"Oh Lucian, please. Why the suspense?" I could not bear it any longer.

"That was for the spicy buildup." Lucian laughed.

I frowned at him in a way to warn him but he laughed even more. I listened to his laugh carefully, I wonder why I did something that weird, it did not sound happy as I thought it should but it sounded more like pained, broken and looming anger deep down.

He was trying pass a message I did not understand.

"Who is it then?"

"Axel." It was like cold water was poured on my head. My toes curled up and goose bumps ran all over my skin.

"Axel?" I had a hard time getting a hold of myself.

"Yes. I'm not saying this to scare you but he is also coming for you."
