Chapter 19: The Nickname

All the way back to the packhouse, I kept on trying to talk to Kairo. I told him about the first time that I went to the packhouse and how I met Dalton. I don’t think he was paying attention, but I was just so elated when he asked me to call him “Hux.”

“Hux, Hux!” I said. 

“Can you keep your mouth shut?” He asked, annoyed.

“But you still did not answer my question. Where did your name come from? It’s so cool and unique. And it suits you perfectly.” I rambled, quickening my steps so that I could walk nearer to him.

“You don’t have to know.” He sighed. “And I regret telling you about that name. Can you just forget about it?”

“Nope,” I shook my head. “No return. No exchange. I’m never going to let go of that name now.” I said, smiling cheekily at him.

He groaned, “Were you always this annoying?” 

“No. I’m like this only with you.” I smiled, attempting to poke his arm. He
