Chapter 60: The Weird Man

We were currently playing a shooting game, and Kairo was getting frustrated because I kept beating him in the previous games. He wasn’t able to win me anything, but I was able to win two stuffed toys that I plan to give to the boys.

“Ugh!” Kairo groaned as I won another game again. The young lad operating the game gave me a grumpy dog keychain while Kairo pouted on the side.

I let out a chuckle and patted him in the pack. “Come on. It’s okay. I mean, you train every day to sharpen your skills and perfect your aim, but I guess those only work for real wars. Here, you can have this.” I handed them the keychain while he playfully glared at me.

He looked down and kept quiet. I poked his cheek, but he still did not budge.

“Are you really that upset?” I asked him.

He sighed and looked at me sincerely. “I just want to win something for you. Is that too much to ask?”
