NEIL'S POV

I could feel the coldness of the cave in full force on my skin as I knelt beside the frozen boy. I used my pick axe to keep breaking the ice. Luckily, I had made progress. Oscar and I had been at it for days. We used all forms of heating methods along with other means. Slowly, the ice barrier was starting to break away. I was almost done. My arms and my back literally hurt. The plan was to free the boy, get him the hell out of here and find the witch. Perhaps then, she would finally leave us alone.

Before now, I wondered why the witch couldn't find him after all these years. That night, when she accused Oscar and I for trying to kill her, it finally clicked. Whoever hid this boy knew that the specie of witches she belonged to hated cold places. I read more about it. A particular breed of cursed witches couldn't enter extremely cold faces. The person who hid this boy was aware of this. The person hid the son here, knowing fully well that the witch couldn't enter a cold cave
