Stevens exits the garage with a couple of bottles of water. His brow creased down into a frown. “I showed him the photos. He hasn’t seen them.” He throws a bottle at me. “Are you sure she came this way?”

“Without a doubt.” I mutter as I get back in the car. So far, everyone we had asked hadn't seen her or Addie.

“How can you be so sure? I haven’t picked up Willow's scent in over a hundred miles.”

“It probably has something to do with us being true mates. Because I haven’t lost her scent yet.” I tell him. I still didn't understand how it worked but if it it got me to her, then that was all I cared about.

“Right! So why did we bother stopping?”

“I’m trying to get a timeline. I need to know how far in front of us she is."

He doesn’t respond as he pulls the car out onto the main road. I didn’t ask for Stevens to come with me, but he insisted.
