Clara's POV

I didn't know what to do when Dominique asked me to run away before the fight. I mean, I knew I had betrayed my pack by sharing our secrets with him and his rogue werewolves, but I wasn't comfortable backing out from the fight when I was mainly the brain behind it. It showed me more reason why I have to be an alpha of my own and detach myself from all these male superiority. I decided to hide instead, to see how things would turn out.

From the shadows, I watched as my former pack engaged in battle with Dominique and his rogue werewolves. It was brutal and bloody, but I was surprised at how well my pack was holding up. They may have been outnumbered, but they were fierce and determined.

Dominique, on the other hand, was wild and unhinged. He attacked with reckless abandon, not caring who he hurt or killed in the process. I felt a pang of regret for ever trusting him, but I knew it was only a matter of time before I take him out and run things my way.
