The Alpha's Rose - Chapter 22

ROSE

After taking the catheter out, Adam leaves to see to other patients, letting me know that Nurse Frank will be in soon with meds and to take more blood. Tyson comes back in, and he pulls out the breakfast Adam brought for us. Holy cow, it all smells so dang good! And there is so much. Pancakes, biscuits and gravy, omelets, bacon, sausage, and cut up fruit with yogurt and granola. There’s also orange juice, apple juice, and coffee. Tyson makes me a plate with a little of everything. I devour my plate. The pancakes are by far, my favorite.

“Oooooh, these are so fluffy and buttery. I can’t even tell you how long it’s been since I had pancakes last.” I moan as I lick the syrup off my lower lip. I look up at Tyson and he once again has stopped with his fork of food almost to his mouth and he is staring at me. “Um, Tyson. Are you okay?” I ask as I swallow my bite of buttery, syrupy goodness.

Just like last time, he doesn’t answer. This time though, Tyson sets his fork and plate down;
