Chapter 31

Dacre

I swore under my breath as the knuckle weapon guy stepped out of the battleground while Aaron stepped in.

Aaron had been a close friend once. But I never saw eye to eye with him.

And, the fact that he was nominated for this battle meant only one thing.

I would be able to even out things and seek vengeance.

An eye for an eye.

Aaron was tall and well-built, we were almost of the same height. His brown face was littered with scars and a particularly nasty one ran from his eyebrow to his nose.

“Long time no see,” Aaron said to me and I snorted

“Thought that scar would have gone by now”

I was the one to have given him the scar. And, if I had the chance to do it, I would do it again.

My hands clenched into fists as we walked towards each other and stood facing opposite each other. Aaron growled menacingly and then we bumped our fists before walking a bit away from each other.
