Chapter 119 – I Want You Here With Me
Lisa's POV
I follow closely behind her as she leads the way. At the end of the hallway, the ceiling and walls open up to reveal leaders and some council members in different groups having discussions in hushed tones. Behind them, there were four sets of French doors leading to a private pool and another one leading to the maze.
I thank the maid with a smile, and she curtsies before she leaves. None of the leaders seem to pay me any attention. They spare me a second glance before returning to their discussions. I accepted their silence as a sign that they approved of me being here. I spot Jonas on my left, talking to Dominic, Derek, and Morrison. Morrison was laughing with Prince Antoine over something. Jonas's back was turned to me.
For some reason which I can't explain, I was already regretting being here. There was a bitter taste in my mouth. "Jonas, can I talk to you for a moment?"
