Chapter 30

FREYA

When I woke up, Jacob was still sleeping. I smiled as I looked at him. He has been incredible. I thought maybe finding out that I can not read would be bad. But I was wrong, and I had completely misjudged him.

Today, I wanted to go back to my own people and explain to them that I was going to live here. I knew this could cause problems, but for once, I did something I wanted to.

“Morning, beautiful,” Jacob says pulling me out of my thoughts.

“Morning,” I say and smile at him.

“Are you okay?” He asks me.

“Yes. I was just about what to say to my people.” I say and look at him.

“Ah, yes. I will go with you.” He offers, but I shake my head.

“I need to do this alone,” I tell him, and after looking at me for a while, he nods his head.

“Okay, but promise me that you will be safe.” He says and I promise him.

We got out of bed and dressed in our clothes. He had brought more clothes up to me. It looked more like what I would normally wear: skin pants, a sleeveless top, and boots. Today, h
