Miles’s face stayed the same, but I heard his heart start to hammer in his chest again, so I hugged him tighter, placing a hand over his chest. Mick patted him on the back reassuringly. Miles looked at him, and Mick nodded, some form of communication passing between them in their eyes. His heart rate started to slow.

“I guess so,” Miles said mildly. He was still nervous, but was covering it with his stoic demeanor.

“This is freaky as shit, Alpha,” Billy giggled like a little girl. He covered his face behind Taylor’s shoulder, but his eyes were dancing. Taylor bit her lips, her face turning more red.

“It’s a one-time thing,” Mick rolled his eyes at him.

“We’re grateful,” Darren said. “Taylor really wanted this.”
