Justin was very keen to hear everything, so I told him what my father's condition was.

"That is preposterous, Klaus! How can he ask her to sign a peace treaty when they are not even at war?"

I leaned back into my chair. "That was the same reaction I had when he said that. In his defense, he said it was necessary as they had always been at war with each other after that incident, just not a physical one."

"Wow, that is really something," Justin sighed.

"Indeed... He wants a signed peace treaty as proof that Nora would not act on her thoughts of revenge by mobilizing her men to come fight him," I explained.

"But they don't have what it takes to fight him..."

Everything Justin was saying was valid, and I had pointed them out too to my father, but he had his own logical explanations for everything I said.
