Chapter Seven

We're both quiet on our way back. The only time we conversed was when I told him he doesn't have to take me home, he just said "it's fine" and that was the end of that conversation.

Now that we're alone again, the nerves come back. I'm so aware of his presence.

"What's on your mind?" His voice startles me. I don't say anything for some seconds, I must look like a fool right now.

"Nothing," I say.

"I don't bite, you know. You don't have to be so rigid."

"Yes sir." My freaking nerves. Damien raises one brow at me.

"Yes Damien," I correct.

"Better. You were cool tonight, it was your first time wasn't it?" I can't form words right now, I just nod.

"The next time we have to do a work thing, I'll like to take you along. Maybe introduce you to some people."

Oh my goodness.

"When you say next time, does that mean_"

"Yes. Come in for your interview tomorrow. I know you'd be good, but I can't hire you without following protocols. That won't be good for me, but it especially won't be good for yo
