Chapter Six

I turn in my seat to see Damien stand up and make his way to the podium.

Are you shitting me right now? He's delivering a speech? How did I not know that? He could have at least mention it.

"Good evening, everyone. I'm Damien Black. I am honored to be here today for this charity event, which is close to my heart. Cancer has touched the lives of so many people, including my own acquaintances, and I know how important it is to support those who are affected by this disease." The audience begins to clap and he waits for them to stop before he continues.

Damn the man for being so handsome.
