Chapter 25 - Charles Restlessness

Charles arrived home late in the night, but his father was already home, so he retired to his bedroom on the third floor to sleep. Sensing that his parents might have had their dinners and gone to bed in their bedroom too, he entered the elevator and went up to the third floor.

The presidential villa was dead silent, and he walked into his sitting room, remembering when he had returned home the previous week and saw Nancy sleeping peacefully on his sitting room couch.

His fist clenched as he missed her, knowing he had made a terrible mistake by letting her go.

He sighed and walked into his bedroom, taking up her photo still on his bed, staring at her beautiful face as his room bulb was still brightly on.

"I still love you, and now I don't think I can keep up with my promise to you," Charles thought, remembering he had promised not to search for her or monitor her again.
