Fifty two

Steph and Alex sat in a restaurant. Alex had planned a date for today at one of their favourite restaurants

He was hoping he was going to decide whether to tell her of not. He was leaning more towards the side of not telling. But he had always heard people say that the best relationship is the one that has trust and trust comes from the little things like this and he knew that if she found out about it herself, it was going to be worse.

“So, how have you been?” Steph asked.

“Been good,” he answered.

“How has work been also?” She asked.

“Work has been fine,” he answered.

“How is the volunteering work going?” He asked.

“I am actually going to have my first outing with them tomorrow. They are going to an orphanage. I can’t wait. I think it would be interesting,” she explained.

“That’s really nice. I just hope you enjoy yourself and have a really great time,” he said.
