Chapter 30: Nickname for the boss

Thirty minutes earlier.

Zendaya watched as her mother worked on the computer in boredom. She would have gone to her if not for the fact that she was scared of her mother sending her to the hospital.

She didn’t like going to the hospital because of the doctors, nurses and injections they always gave her whenever she landed there.

Zendaya opened her mouth to tell her mother that she was bored but her mother was busy and she didn't want to go to the hospital.

An idea suddenly popped into her head. She quietly got down from her seat and tiptoed to the door. Zendaya looked back to see if her mother noticed her at the door but Kiandra was so engrossed in her work and the fact that there was a huge computer screen in her front only obstructed her.

Zendaya saw that the door handle was higher than her reach, and so she quickly went back to get her lunch box. Her growth was affected due to what had happened to Kiandra while she was still in the womb and so, she was smaller than an averag
