Livia Washington’s Point of View
They say, some dreams are great and some bring you fearful experiences. Dreams are the number one major contributor which is the reason why everyone was successful in their dreams and that is one example of wonderful dreams. However, I can say that mine was amazing neither petrified.
“Your name?” a woman who’s wearing a dress, has pale lips and short hair asked me.
I stuttered. “L-Livia Washington, ma’am,” I answered.
“My husband and I can’t produce a child. I need your help and in exchange, I will reward you with money at your price. Just help me…” she said, her face screaming desperation and almost pleading.
Without further hesitation, I nodded my head. “Just tell me what you want me to do, Ma’am…”
“First, my name is Gianna Steel. I am in a dire need of help upon giving birth to a child. I am asking you to be a surrogate mother of our child,” she said, leaving me dumbfounded.
Surrogacy. Surrogacy is an arrangement, often supported by a legal agreement, whereby a woman agrees to deliver or labor for another person or people, who will become the child's parent after birth.
“Do you agree to be a surrogate mother, Livia?”
“Yes. I’m willing to do what it takes, Gianna.”
I can’t find the joy in her eyes as Gianna only frowned and looked down. “Regardless, I have to tell you something,” she outspoken. “My eggs are weak. We have to use yours instead of mine…”
The remark she claimed made my jaw drop.
“H-How is that possible? I am also a married w-woman and I don’t think I can do it if there is a sexual interaction involved-“ I was trailed off when Gianna tapped the table hard.
“Of course not!” she said. “A professional will handle it. Just sign the agreement and we’ll proceed,” she told me.
I read the contract she had prepared. I read it all over again how many times before signing. We had to carry on a contract so that I could be paid. Gianna Steel is affluent and so does her family. She is willing to pay me the amount I need without a doubt.
For months, I carried their child and only had Gianna with me. However, when it was near my due date, Gianna came to another country and fixed a company problem that demanded her presence, and couldn’t decline. The next day, I bore a healthy child, thanks to God.
I need money and my contract with her was successful. My husband’s company is now in a crisis, so I had no choice but to do it in order to save us. It is not only for us that I’m doing this but also for our future children who would be born with a comfortable life and a silver spoon in their mouths.
“Livia,” Gianna’s assistant approached me whilst lying on the hospital bed.
I felt very weak, my body was feeble and unable to move.
“I received very devastating news,” she said.
Upon completing giving birth to the child, I had to regain my strength and had no energy to open my eyes.
“W-What?” I merely said.
“My boss, Madame Gia, got into a plane crash on her way here after knowing you’re giving birth. U-Unfortunately, she d-died…” her voice cracked.
I gulped, and the edge of my eyes started to produce water. Even for a short period, Gianna and I formulated a bond and hearing the news about the plane crash tore my heart.
It is when the door creaked, a man wearing a suit came, talking with Gianna’s assistant in his low yet cold baritone voice.
“Where is my child?” he asked.
Gianna and the man who was wearing a suit was talking. I could hear their conversation until the baby I bore cooed.
Both of them stepped a few meters away from me. And right there, I no longer hear what they were talking about. I tried to open my eyes but failed. The only thing I saw from him was his bare back, clean haircut, and firm callous hands.
“But-“ Giaanna’s assistant trailed off when I turned my head onto where they were, barely opening my eyes.
I saw how the man mercilessly got the baby. Seeing him fleeing away from my room made my heart ache. He didn’t give me the chance to see the child’s face. After all, it was still my egg.
“Livia,” Gianna’s assistant called my name. “It’s Madame Gianna’s husband. He already got the baby,” she said.
“W-Why…” I merely said.
“No matter what happens, no one should know it was your egg. Do you understand, Livia?” Gianna’s assistant narrowed her eyes and highlighted her last sentence before I nodded, completely letting the darkness eat me again.

Strange. One word I could describe is what suddenly I dreamed of right now. I felt like my world was moving yet my body seemed to be paralyzed to move. When I opened my eyes, the dark sky and multiple lights came across my eyes.
A man’s nose greeted me when I realized someone was carrying my body. His face remained vague, and seeing a familiar car and lady outside made me realize it was my friend, Janice.
The man put me inside Janice’s car. Leaning forward, his manly scent goes through my nose.
“I’m very sorry, Sir. My friend troubled you,” I heard my friend apologizing.
The man spoke. “Next time, tell her to monitor what she drinks. Your friend is completely insane when drunk.”
Janice bid goodbye and thanked the man. She started her car when I held on to the mirror, gaining the strength to open my eyes. There… I saw a stagnant, neat-looking man moving motionless whilst a lot of bodyguards were around him.
Even if Archer was the only person I could consider handsome, this man is different. He’s like a Greek God that fell from the sky. His physical features were well-proportioned.
He was tall, had dark features, and was still wearing his office suit. His one hand was on his waist and his coat was a bit lifted. Even if Janice’s car was tinted, his straight eyes drifted on the mirror on where I was as if I was his prey he was going to hunt whenever he wants.
Livia Washington’s Point of View Dirty white ceiling, vague surroundings yet familiar one. Gradually, I opened my eyes and prowled around. I’m at Janice’s apartment, laying on her body still wearing the dress I had yesterday. I tried to sit on the bed, but my head hurts like Janice had pounded my head hard. “Drink this. I knew that you’d wake up soon that’s why I made you tea,” she said. “It’s good for sober boosting.” Janice put a glass of tea on the side table while I fixed my dress, hoisted my eyes on her then spoke. I felt that my tongue was dry, yet a couple of words came out of my mouth. “Damn, my head hurts…” I bleed. My best friend arched her eyebrows, and put herself across me on the sofa I was facing. “Tell me, what happened last night?” she inquired, as if she was expecting me to say something when in fact, I have none. I rolled my eyes and arched my brows. “Wasted, obviously,” I sneered. She smirked. “Girl, do you know that you almost slept with Ajax Steel yesterda
Livia Washington’s Point of View He was very fast. My heart was pounding hard as if I were catching a breath. A person might think I was running, but the car made me like this. It stopped a few meters away from me. The anger I had earlier doubled, all because of the person inside. Due to my anxiety and lack of sudden happiness, I went to where the car was and then closed my fist, hitting the top of his baby. I don’t care if he got mad, but all I knew was that I just risked my life because of his craziness. "Are you fucking going to kill me?" I stormed out, darting my vicious, firing eyes. I tried to calm myself down afterwards. I don’t know what the pronoun was of the driver, but what matters to me is that they apologize. I took a step back momentarily. When the door creaked, a foot stepped out as half of his body swayed along with him—going out. My body moved a bit as my eyes widened upon discovering who the person was. He was now standing completely in front, showing himse
Livia Washington’s Point of View I was still lucky. Even though Archer and I didn't get along well, he still accepted me into his company. "Livia, can you edit this for me? I have something to do later, and I can't work overtime. Would you help me?" My officemate, Cindy, who happened to be one of my friends, asked. I got the folder she was holding and then looked into it. I blinked my eyes at the paper before nodding my head. "What is this related to first?" Cindy rolled her eyes. "Argh. It’s the papers our boss wanted me to do. I told him I couldn’t as I had plans earlier, but it seems like he has no damn care at all! Gosh, my mother-in-law would probably hate me again if I was late for our dinner!" A small chuckle came out of my lips before I licked it and then sat down in my swivel chair. There are a lot of papers I have to do, but I am willing to share everyone’s burden. I came to work late due to crying myself out last night. I couldn’t sleep whenever I saw Archer with some
Livia Washington’s Point of View Every time I see him chatting up another woman while I stand in the background and watch, my heart breaks a little more. Even though it's lunchtime, I don't feel hungry at all. For sure, I'd say Archer is already fucking or done fucking the chick that entered his office just now. I'm delighted that our lunch took precedence early on, giving me enough time to rest for a little while. My head was resting on the table as I eat biscuits in my chair, rather than walking outside to sit with my coworkers, listening plastic comments from them. It took about an hour before employees started trickling back in, some of them with a chuckle on their faces. I raised my head and watched one of the mean girls who is always talking about me behind my back leave the room. The couple's table was directly behind me. In other words, that's when I went back to work. Even though I had no intention of eavesdropping, I had to admit that the fact that my ears were attentive
Livia Washington's Point of View We remained standing across from each other for a couple minutes. I goggle at his perfect face, his prominent jaw, and his vicious eyes toward me. He looks perfect when we’re this close; however, the door creaked as a girl was about to come in, but when he saw our current position, she backed down. My small, round eyes widened. I realized I was overstaring at him and managed to push him back a few inches away from me. "The hell…" I spat out, taking a two-step backward. The lady earlier seemed shocked; I think she thought we were doing something unusual. Not when I began to wish that the ground should eat me due to what just occurred. But then, upon reminiscing clearly the girl’s face earlier, I discerned she's familiar. I think I’ve seen her before, yet I can’t remember where or when. Nevertheless, I removed her existence from my mind. "Why are you cornering me?" I enunciated, a bit annoyed. His eyebrows arched, he fixed his three-piece suit, an
Livia Washington's Point of ViewArcher managed to break the lock on my apartment. Maybe using the screwdriver I've seen outside my door. I put my keys on top of the table and then pressed the button for the dim lights to open. "Do you know what time it is already?" he inquired as if he was a caring husband waiting for his beloved wife. My eyebrows twitched. "It's just nine in the evening. Almost ten," I retorted back. "It's late. You broke my lock." Archer let out a scoff in his mouth before he drank all the wine in his glass. He stood up, walked toward where my location was until the light came across his face. He was looking at me angrily and he seemed to intuitively willing to attack me any moment from now."I'm your husband and I'm allowed to come inside my wife's house." He remarked. "As far as I can remember, you didn't treat me as one and kicked me out of your house. Tell me, what are you doing here?" Archer veered around whilst wandering his eyes throughout my apartment
Livia Washington's Point of View I was late the next day upon the small argument I had with Archer yesterday. I nearly wanted to cold the guard earlier who was fixing my door but upon realizing he was an angel sent by God to come and wake me up. Booking a cab was pretty hard not to mention it was already late and I have no car I own so it was a bit of a hassle for me since it's thirty minutes away from the apartment I was in. Fortunately, our manager was in a good mood and didn't ask when she saw me coming along inside. "You're late," May said, having a huge grin on her face. I scratched the back of my neck and nodded. "Uh-huh. I woke up late earlier but still managed to arrive here after ten minutes." May nodded her head and bid her farewell. I was about to pass through my boss when suddenly, she held my hand and then stopped me. "Livia, can you get the jewels I had on my table?" she asked, a bit in hurry. I thought that she would scold me but I was wrong. "W-Which tabl

Everyone in the office took out their bags, opened them, and put all their things on the surface while I stood, crossing my arms, proud of myself that I didn’t steal it.It took awhile before Miss Rosa stood in front of me, ready to open my bag when I did it myself. Miss Rosa was the one who was taking my things out of my bag while I stood watching."I told you, Miss Rosa. I wasn’t the person who stole your jewelry." I told her.Taliah and her friends looked at each other. Upon watching our manager extract everything, she stopped halfway, gaping at me as she pulled out her hand, picking up an unfamiliar bangle bracelet in her hands. My eyes widened. My heart began to pound fast as I tried to speak, yet I stuttered."This is mine..." she stated, giving me a hint that she’s mad due to the tone of her voice.Amanda's eyes widened i
