Chapter 40: The Dress

"Did that girl hurt you again?" Roswell asked me when we entered his office.

I quickly shook my head because it wasn't too painful when Roxy bumped into me earlier.

"Nope. She just really wanted to annoy me; that's why she did it. I don't even know why her blood is hot for me, especially since I don't do anything bad to her," I explained one after the other, then took a breath.

Roswell nodded and sat in his swivel chair. He also loosened his necktie while I was standing in front of his table.

"If that happens again, I'll fire her. She is not a loss to the company if I remove her," he said with a serious voice.

I shook my head because, even though Roxy always fights with me, I still don't want her to lose her job.

"Let's forget about it. I'll just talk to her."

"No. Don't come close to her because she will only hurt you again," he told me immediately, so I stopped talking.
