Chapter 39: Defended by Roswell

"My friends in the company are asking me if I can go out with them tomorrow night. I haven't been able to say yes to them yet," I said to Roswell while we were eating dinner.

Vera has returned home and is having dinner with us now. She said she and Agatha went shopping all day and did other kids activities at the mall, which is why she was so tired, and now she's asleep. I told Vera earlier that she should only buy what Agatha needs, so it looks like they went too far with the purchase.

"Then why don't you go with them?" Vera asked me with a frown.
