Chapter 38: Solo Night

I was restless as we drove home. My car was following Roswell, and my heart was pounding, so I tried to calm myself down.

It was only a few moments before we finally reached the house, and my eyes almost narrowed because I seemed to notice something.

"Where's your guard?" I asked him when we got out of the car.

He shrugged his shoulders at me and walked inside the mansion. I was even more surprised because there were no angels to meet us to help us with our things.

Roswell put his things down on the sofa in the living area, so I just looked at him with a frown. He approached me and also took the things I was holding.

"I sent them for an overnight outing. They will be going home tomorrow, so we are the only two people here," he answered, then shrugged his shoulders.

My eyes widened, and my cheeks got hotter.

"It's getting hot here. Do you want to swim?" he asked.
