Chapter 8: Backyard

"I'll leave you here for now, Agatha. Behave while I'm gone," I told Agatha.

We're at the restaurant now, and I'm going to leave her with Aunt Cindy because I'm taking care of some papers so I can enroll her in school. I can't take her with me because I have someone else to take care of her while I do something. Eunice is not also available because she is at work, so I will leave Agatha with my aunt Cindy first.

"Okay, Mom," she answered me in a small voice.

I smiled and lightly patted her head before I looked up at Auntie Cindy.

"Don't worry about her, Kali. She always behaves so much when you're not around," she told me.

I smiled again and nodded because I also knew my daughter. When I tell her to behave, she does; that's why I'm happy with her because she's obedient and knows how to understand.

"You take care of her first, Aunt Cindy. I'll be right back once I'm done," I said.

"No worry, Kali. Go ahead so you can finish what you have to do," Aunt Cindy answered me.
