Chapter 7: Daddy

I feel that the stress I feel has increased because of these men. First is Anthony, who tries to scold me, and then the blue-eyed man comes in second.

"Your new suitor?" Eunice asked me.

A while ago, she was asking me about the man I talked to at the other table, and I didn't have a good answer to satisfy her because it was only the second time I interacted with that man.

"No, of course not! It's only the second time we've interacted," I replied.

"Wow! The beauty you have is really different," said Eunice, then grinned at me.

I shook my head and rolled my eyes at her because I wasn't really interested in it.

I looked again at the other table and saw blue eyes still looking at me. I just rolled my eyes again because he winked at me. My gosh! Why is he acting like that?

"You two are good together! Why don't you give him a chance? He seem kind," Eunice suggested to me.

"Oh, come on, Eunice! Don't get involved with those people who ship me to that man. I don't have time for that," I answered, then got frustrated again.

I just looked at Agatha, who was quietly eating while watching in her iPad. I really meant to watch her on her iPad so she wouldn't hear my conversations with her Aunt Eunice.

After we finished eating, Eunice was picked up by her fiance. They even wanted Agatha and I to take us to the apartment, but I refused because I also had luggage with me. I'll just take a taxi, especially since there are a lot of people passing by there.

"We'll just go here again tomorrow, Aunt Cindy. I'll help here," I said to Aunt Cindy.

Before Agatha and I went home, I said goodbye to Aunt Cindy.

"Oh no, Kali. It's okay even if you don't help here. Rest first because I know you're tired from your flights," she told me.

I shook my head because I couldn't stay at home either. I like it because I'm always doing something. There wasn't much work there because I always go to the laundry shop for our dirty clothes.

"My rest is working, Aunt. Just let me do that," I said to her, then I smiled.

Aunt Cindy didn't argue with me anymore because she couldn't win with me either. I always push myself as much as I want to help in the restaurant, and I enjoy what I do.

I was holding Agatha with one hand while I was dragging the suitcase I was carrying with the other. We were outside the restaurant, and there we waited for a taxi. It was bright there because of the lights and there were some people outside.

"Mommy, I'm tired. Carry me," Agatha complained to me.

I shook my head because I have to admit that as she grows, her weight also increases. I can lift her, but I'm struggling.

"Just wait for a minute, baby. Mommy has a lot on her hands," I answered her.

It made her frown and pouted, so I couldn't help but feel guilty. I just took a deep breath and bowed to her.

"Fine. Come here," I said, waiting to pick her up.

She immediately grabbed my shoulder, and I lifted her up. It's obvious that her energy is running out because she's been hyper all day and she's full, so she just wants to rest.

I looked up ahead when a car stopped there. That car was so familiar that my heart almost skipped a beat. Fortunately, Agatha's back was turned, and she couldn't see it.

The car door opened, and I saw that it was Anthony. I almost fainted. What the hell is he doing here? How did he know I was here? Don't tell me he followed me!

"Kali!" he called me from not far away.

"My gosh," I whispered, almost panicking.

I was about to leave, but another car stopped and honked. I frowned and looked there and saw the blue-eyed mab. He got down and walked towards me. He and Anthony even approached me at the same time.

"Do you mind if I give you a ride?" blue eyes asked me.

"Waiting for a taxi again?" Anthony asked me.

They even spoke almost at the same time and looked at each other. I couldn't take my eyes off Anthony, especially when he saw that I was carrying a child. I was so confused that I immediately looked into blue-eyed man and nodded to him.

"Let's go," I told him.

It was like a miracle to him that I agreed to go with him. I saw a small smile on his lips before nodding and taking the suitcase I was carrying. He walked to his car and put it in the trunk.

"Kali. Who's he?" Anthony asked me.

I looked at him in annoyance and was about to rolled my eyes at him, but I stopped myself.

"Your boyfriend? Are you married now?" he asked one after another.

"Shall we?" I heard blue eyes ask.

I looked at him for a moment and nodded before turning back to Anthony to answer his question.

"None of your business."

After saying that, I quickly walked towards blue eyes. He opened the front seat door for me, and I immediately got in there while carrying Agatha.

It's a good thing that Agatha has fallen asleep, so she can't see what's happening now. I can still feel my heart beating fast. I can't believe that Anthony followed me there! I looked at him outside the car, and he remained standing there, looking at our car leaving.

"C-Can you make sure he can't follow us?" I asked to talk to blue eyes, and I couldn't stop my stuttering there.

I also can't believe that I went with him. I don't trust men lightly, but he seems nice and won't do us any harm. I was just confused because I was afraid that Anthony would find out that the child I was carrying was his.

"Sure, of course. Who's that guy anyway?" he asked me.

I frowned because I wondered if I should tell him who that man really is.

"Oh, it's just a guy who is picking on me. By the way, what's your name again?" I answered and asked him.

I can't just tell him the truth because we don't know each other very well. That was enough of my answer in exchange for him letting us ride in his car. Another thing is that I also need to know his name because I'm tired of saying in my mind that he has blue eyes.

"Oh, he likes you," she said while nodding.

"Anyway, my name is Roswell," he added.

I immediately shook my head and rolled my eyes because of the first thing he said. His name is pretty attractive, huh? I was about to speak when Agatha suddenly woke up from her sleep. She opened her eyes and immediately sat comfortably on my lap. Blue eyes also looked there and immediately smiled at Agatha.

"Hi, pretty girl!" he said here.

Roswell looked at me for a moment, so I immediately shook my head as if threatening him not to talk to my daughter.

"Are you my Daddy?" Agatha asked, which surprised me.

"Hey! Agatha, no." I forbade her.

"Do you want me to be your dad?" Roswell asked.

"Hey!" I also forbade him because he even rode the child's questioning.

"Yeah," Agatha replied.

I almost fell my hands on my forehead there and held my breath because my choice to go with Roswell seemed even more troublesome.

Roswell laughed and continued driving, so I shook my head again. I felt Agatha's head resting on my chest, so I looked at her and saw her closing her eyes again.

"Thank God, she's just dreaming," I said.

We were silent for a while there, but Roswell spoke again.

"If you don't mind, where's her dad?" he asked me.

I held my breath again because I remembered Anthony. Now that he's seen me again, I'm sure he won't stop teasing me.

"He abandoned us when I was just pregnant with her," I replied, then just looked out the window.

I will not allow Anthony to just come back into our lives, and even more, I will not allow my son to meet him. He doesn't deserve that.

"I'm so sorry to hear that."

"It's alright. I'm not affected anymore when I answer such questions like that," I told him immediately.

"By the way, I forgot to say where our address is," I added.

I told him the address of the apartment we were staying at. We got there quickly because it wasn't far.

"Not by assumption, but I'm going to go ahead of you. Now that you know my address, you might always visit me here. I just want you to remind that I'm not always here," I reminded him one after another. .

He laughed and shook his head before speaking.

"Of course, I know that. You're a flight attendant, and I don't expect that you're always here," he answered, then shrugged his shoulders.

I narrowed my eyes and frowned when I looked at him. How did he know my job?

"I'm sorry. I only found out from a waitress at the restaurant when I asked about you," he explained to me immediately, then laughed a little.

I just shook my head because I knew it was Annie.

"Thanks. Thank you for bringing us home," I said gratefully to him.

He grinned and shook his head.

"Sorry, but I don't accept only thank you," he said jokingly.

I raised my eyebrows and took a deep breath because I didn't want to look indebted to him either, so I nodded.

"I don't have anything in my house, and I don't want to owe you anything. So, I owe you one," I answered him, then shrugged my shoulders.

He nodded and bowed for a moment before speaking. He licked his lower lip and looked at me.

"You owe me a coffee date," he said.

My eyes almost widened in shock. Instead of arguing with him, I just agreed.

"Fine, but I will decide if when. I'm still busy," I answered him.

He smiled as if he had achieved something, which made me cringe.

"I'm willing to wait," he said while still smiling.

He helped me carry my suitcase because I was still carrying Agatha. When we were at the door of the apartment, I stopped there.

"This is not included in my debt to you, huh?" I reminded him.

He laughed again and nodded at me before shifting his gaze to the child I was carrying.

"Yeah, of course. You should go inside so your child can rest properly," he said.

I nodded and smiled at him before I opened the door, but before I could go inside, he spoke again, making me stop.

"How do I know when you're available? How can we communicate?" he asked.

I thought for a moment before answering him.

"Give me your contact number, and I'll be the one who contacts you, but I'm often at the restaurant when I don't have a flight," I answered him.

He nodded and took something from his pocket. He took out his wallet and handed me his calling card. I raised my eyebrows before I took it from him. As if I could call him. If he wants, he can always visit me at the restaurant!

Then he pointed to the door as if he were telling me to go in there, so I nodded to him again before going inside. I immediately put Agatha to bed because she was in deep sleep.

I almost suffocated there and felt very tired because of work. I still can't get Anthony out of my mind or what he might do next. I couldn't sleep that night thinking about it; that's why I even cleaned the whole house so I wouldn't go crazy thinking about how I could hide Agatha from Anthony.
