Cesar sat beside Ellie’s bed with his head in his hands as the doctor’s words replayed in his head.

Mimi had Acute Lymphoblastic Leukemia and it was growing really fast. They needed to start treatments on her immediately but Miesa had refused to come with him to the hospital.

She’d thrown a fit and then proceeded to lock herself in her room. She told him very clearly through the door that she wasn’t going to come out until he changed his mind about taking her to the hospital.
