CHAPTER TWENTY-NINE

I wouldn't be going anywhere today. I wanted to rest from the tiring work the past week. It was another new week, and I needed to cool my head. I walked out of my room to have breakfast but met the kids already eating. I wanted to observe them for a while, and I didn't know the reason.

I sat at the head of the couch in the sitting room, watching the kids keenly. I noticed something odd about Aria. She was eating like me. She had a very huge appetite, which I had a little idea of, but I never knew it was to this extent. She ate exactly the way I did, the appetite aside. She chewed like me as well. I thought only my kids would have this feature. The thought made my heart sink.

It had to be a coincidence, right? I tried to focus on something else, but I couldn't get it out of my head. Then, I noticed something else. Archie looked like my mom, slightly. This was all just too weird. I had to be imagining things. There was no way this could be real. Or was it?
