CHAPTER TWENTY EIGHT

I didn't feel like their was a need to say anything to Aiden, I wanted to just leave.

As I made a move to leave, Aiden grabbed my arm.

"Please, wait," You don't have to leave. Just tell me what's going on," Aiden pleaded further.

I hesitated for a bit.

"It's complicated. It's not something I can explain here."

Aiden frowned. "Can you at least tell me if you're in some kind of danger?" he asked.

I shook her head. "I'm not in any physical danger. But, this is something I need to deal with on my own," I insisted.

As my anxiety grew, I knew I couldn't stay at the party any longer. "I can't do this," I said to Aiden. "Let's get out of here."

"I'm with you," he said and nodded.. "We can leave right now if you want."

I felt a wave of relief wash over me. "Thank you," I said.

I grabbed Aiden's hand unconsciously, and wemade their way out of the party hall and into the night air. As we walked out of the party hall, Aiden turned to me, his face serious.
