Christina’s POV

The warm heat of the body pressed against mine made me subconsciously snuggle closer in comfort, a sigh falling from my lips. It felt so warm and fuzzy and it smelled so good that I nuzzled closer, drawing in a deep breath as I tried to stay in this sleepy haze for as long as I could but my body had other plans, as the sleep began slowly clearing away. My eyes slid open to see the room was dimly lit by the light of the moon streaming in through the glass of the floor-to-ceiling windows.

At first, a yawn slipped from my lips and I tried to stretch my limbs, still oblivious to my environment but then I noticed the arm that was wound tightly around my torso, holding me firmly but protectively in place. As if I’d just begun to regain proper consciousness, his soft almost silent snores streamed into my ears and my eyes sought him out.
