Mia's POV

“Shit!” I muttered silently. My hands shook slightly when I noticed Allen staring at me intensely.

Was he just going to stand there and watch me all night?

‘Say something, Mia.’ I mentally urged myself, I hoped whatever was going to come out of my mouth wouldn’t make this whole situation more awkward.

“Umm, can I sleep in my room tonight?” was what I heard myself saying, I tried to hold the towel more firmly as Allen’s brows dipped into a frown. He took two steps closer to me, making the whole room seem small all of a sudden.

“Why?” His voice came out firm and sharp, holding so much power that I almost recoiled. I wanted nothing more than to run into the bathroom and hide myself from him. What was with the sudden change in character, whoever called him while we were still at his parent’s anniversary must have made him really angry.

‘Duh! I just flashed you my ass, I can’t sleep on the same bed with you tonight, it would be too awkward for the both of us.’ I urged myself t
