Trinity's POV

I looked up from the wall of the manly chest I had bumped into and met familiar eyes staring down at me. Wait no. He was glaring at me.

I stepped backwards, brushing back my bronze ponytail with a radiant smile, “Hello, Mr. Darnell. I heard Vanessa got rushed in here earlier. Forgive me for not being here earlier, I was assisting in a major surgery and—”

“You’re in my way.” He cut in flatly.

I froze, shocked by his cold tone. Was he really this mad at me? The black glare in his eyes made me shiver. Silently, I stepped away, and he walked past me, out of the room. I watched his back retreat before he was out of sight.

I frowned. Then I plastered on a neutral expression, before I turned around to move towards Vanessa on the hospital bed. She looked confused, leaning towards me when I got closer.
