Morning routine

Vanessa's POV

Someone suddenly opened the blinds, making early morning sunlight stream right against my eyes. I groaned softly and tried to shield my eyes with the pillow, but it was futile.

Usually, I would have loved to soak up the vitamin D from the morning sunlight, but my body wanted nothing to do with getting up from bed.

Soft footsteps echoed around my bed, but the sound seemed too loud for my oversensitive senses. I felt so tired, because I spent most of last night throwing up.

Pregnancy nausea had kicked in just as Trinity said it would, so I spent hours after hours throwing up so bad. One of the assistant nurses had to spend the entire night taking care of me till I finally fell asleep. The nausea was gone for now, but it was replaced by heaviness in my limbs.
